INHABIT
An ecstatic, soul-centred approach to addiction recovery
FOCUSED SUPPORT
INHABIT is a soulful, shameless, ecstatic approach to addiction. If you’re struggling with addiction, and you’re reading this, you’re halfway there. Having the desire to move through to the other side is an amazing first step. And there is another life — one that is vibrant, creative, and free.
At ANAM therapy, we embrace addition as a gateway to this life rather than a problem to be fixed. This is where we begin. After that, the individual therapy journey is client-lead, tailored to the unique needs of each client. It takes the form of talk therapy, with a blend of somatic and mindfulness practices. It is rooted in the understanding that trauma is at the root of many addictions, but does not need to define us. It embraces the initiatory nature of addiction — we want to make space to allow you to go fully into it, to hit the bottom and break through to the other side.
This is an invitation to self-destruct all the way to who you really are, so that your purpose can emerge. From there, the habits and behaviours will fall away — there’ll be no room for them anymore.
Addiction could be your gateway drug to living fully. If you’re considering that one-to-one support could be beneficial as you move through this, feel free to get in touch.
THE JOURNEY
WHAT TO EXPECT
INHABIT is pro self-destruction.
Yes. You read right. This is a movement that harnesses the will to self-destruct as an asset to spiritual development and planetary change — so you can remember who you truly are, and begin to inhabit your life and our earth, fully.
The therapeutic relationship is at the core of INHABIT: it’s one of non-judgment and is entirely client-led. After an initial discovery session, where goals and intentions are explored, the client and therapist will explore options. We might agree on a series of sessions, to be reviewed as we go, or we might keep things open. Drawing from a number of research-backed modalities — such as acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic, psycho-educational, transactional analysis (TA), solution-focused, mindfulness-based and somatic therapies —the series of sessions will be tailored to the clients needs and goals.
At the core of our work is a commitment to providing a compassionate, non-judgemental, and supportive space for self-paced transformation, and a desire to help clients harness the creative potential of crisis.
If you’re curious as to whether this is for you, book a call or send us an email to discuss further.
