Online couples counselling for all kinds of relationships
SUPPORT IN FINDING THE WAY THROUGH
No one teaches us how to navigate marriages or relationships, yet we’re often expected to manage them without any guidance, mentorship, or support. For some, seeking marriage counselling or couples counselling may feel like stepping into the unknown, as if it signals that something is ‘wrong.’ It’s a brave step to reach out for support, but it doesn’t mean something is wrong. Couples counselling can be preventative of issues developing further down the line.
We offer remote, online couples therapy sessions, via video call, and create a virtual space of non-judgment and support for your relationship or marriage. After an initial consultation, where goals and intentions are explored, the therapist will usually first meet with individuals separately, before coming together for online couples therapy. A clear plan will be established, with the flexibility to extend couples therapy beyond the initially agreed timeframe — it helps some couples to have a set number of sessions in mind, while others are happy to assess their progress as they go. Though it’s worth noting that marriage counselling and couples counselling takes a certain commitment, we’re also happy to follow your lead.
Relationship counselling isn’t always about ‘saving’ a relationship, though; rather, it’s about uncovering the truth of that relationship. Your therapist won’t impose any desired outcome — this neutrality allows for a deeper, more authentic exploration. Whatever transpires during the sessions, your therapist will be there in total support of whatever love has in store for you both.
WHO WE WORK WITH
WHY BEGIN THERAPY?
We work with married couples, those in committed relationships, those just finding their commitment to each other, and those in other romantic dynamics who are seeking to discover the truest expression of love within their connections. Some people come to couples counselling in a crisis, others in a moment of curiosity — both can be marvellous, fertile points in the journey of intimate relating.
Sometimes, couples come to marriage counselling because something’s ‘on fire’. Some of the factors that bring people into therapy might be:
- Intimacy challenges
- Sexual issues
- Communication issues
- Infidelity or affairs
- Parenting dilemmas or misalignments
- Grief
- Loss of connection
- Career shifts
- Conflicting desires in life or relationship paths
Through online couples therapy, we can support people to navigate these challenges and turn their crisis into an opportunity for deeper truth and intimacy.
However, many people come to us before things are ‘on fire’ — those who feel there’s something deeper just beneath the surface, a potential for more vibrancy, connection, and fulfilment in their relationships. Our online marriage therapy approach integrates Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), tantric and embodiment practices to help regulate the nervous system and connect on a deeper level. As such, it’s suitable for couples who are not in a crisis, but are interested in learning tools and practices that will benefit their relationships and better navigate future problems.
So, wherever you’re at, we’re here to help. Whether you’re struggling or simply wondering what more is possible, our remote online couples therapy can help guide you towards experiencing the fullest expression of life and love together.
THE BENEFITS OF THERAPY
For Individuals:
Relationship therapy helps individuals recognise what their relationships mirror about themselves, encouraging self-responsibility. We can explore patterns, behaviours, and emotions, and gain clarity on needs and boundaries, leading to more resilient relationships.
For Relationships:
Therapy deepens connection, improves communication, and fosters intimacy. By encouraging open dialogue and mutual understanding, therapy can help partners address conflicts and rediscover shared purpose, finding a way through the challenges.
For Community & Planet:
Healthy relationships are vital to the well-being of communities and the planet. When individuals and couples thrive in their relationships, they’re better equipped to engage meaningfully with their communities, raise families, make good art and leave the world a little better. Relationship therapy promotes mindfulness and compassion, creating a ripple effect that supports a more harmonious, interconnected and sustainable world.
