Anam Therapy provides a holistic approach to counselling that aims to cultivate better relationships to self and others. Our practice is rooted in a non-judgmental, open-minded, celebratory ethos, embracing the ripple effects that ‘doing the work’ can have on our relationships, families, communities and planet.
We offer soul-centred therapy for those seeking to uncover the deeper truths within themselves and their relationships. Our approach includes the body as an essential aspect of therapy, emphasising the importance of the mind-body connection and nervous system regulation.

Hello, Laura is my name — I’m a Psychotherapist, accredited with NAPCP, as well as a musician and tantra teacher. If you’re struggling, l honour you for taking this first step of getting curious about what’s on the other side. I aim to provide a space that’s free from judgement and client-lead, meaning that we move at your place towards the goals that you set for yourself. I see crisis as a major opportunity for transformation, rather than looking at ‘problems’ that need to be ‘fixed’.
I’m an integrative, body-centred therapist — how this looks practically is that I work from a person-centred framework, drawing from a number of modalities tailored to your needs. I draw from internal family systems, transactional analysis, somatic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic and psycho-educational therapies, mindfulness-based & solution-focused therapy. I have a background in somatic bodywork, yoga, tantra, meditation & spiritual coaching, all of which lends itself to a holistic approach to therapy.
I work from an ecological perspective — viewing human beings as a complex ecosystem, part of a greater ecosystem — in order to address the disconnection at the root of many psychological ailments. During sessions, I create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their internal narratives and develop healthier coping mechanisms, enhance self-awareness and self-esteem, and foster self-care practices. This approach promotes overall psychological, physical, and social well-being, empowering clients to lead more balanced and fulfilling lives. With many years experience working one-to-one and with groups in the self-development and consciousness fields, I enjoy creating welcoming spaces where transformation is possible.
My major areas of focus are couples & relationship therapy, sex therapy, addiction, eating disorders, self-worth and grief, but I have experience working in other areas and would be happy to discuss further.
